As the seasons changed we enjoyed learning about the many things we are thankful for!
We read about Falling Leaves, Turkeys Running, Chasing Squirrels and Baking Pies. We enjoyed using fall colors to paint leaves, make turkeys and bake cookies. We talked a lot about faith,
family and friends. Our hope is that everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!
As we came together on 9/11 we talked about our American Flag and what it represents for each of us. We also talked of the many Hero's that serve our Country and those that have served before us. We were very excited to talk about our very own...Will's Dad who serves in the United States Army and Allie's Daddy who is a Deputy Sheriff in Baldwin County. We remembered our Family Celebrations such as Labor Day and Family Fourth of July Picnics. We will forever be... "Proud to Be an American".
The Gideons came to our class and brought us New Testament Bibles and we took our picture. We were so proud! We talked about our freedom and the many bibles the Gideons put
all over the world. Mrs. Deariso sent our picture to the Union Recorder and we made it in the "School Zone" section. I posted one in the classroom, and bought several copies, so if you need one, let me know. We will be learning many new bible verses this year, beginning with John 3:16. The children were so excited. We know that God loves us, our family loves us and now we are learning that our JMA loves us too!
We had a Terrific Two Days! We met new friends, played with trucks and cars, drank coffee from the kitchen center, colored, glued, ate a snack and read special Back to School stories. We also went to the Lunchroom, put together puzzles, took lots of pictures and sang songs together. Can't wait to see everyone bright and early on Monday!
As I met each of you, my new class, I felt excited and blessed to begin a new year!
Seven, a perfect number. I look forward to
an exciting adventure together. You are each a wonderful treasure and already a part of my heart. Remember, God loves you, I love you and Mrs. England loves you too!
